Turkish Cacık 'Tzatziki'

Experience the refreshing and tangy flavours of Turkey with this classic cacik recipe. Made with cool cucumbers, creamy yogurt, dried mint, it's the perfect appetizer or side dish for any meal.


INGREDIENTS

  • 1 cup of plain yogurt (Greek or regular)

  • 1 medium cucumbers, peeled and grated

  • 1 tablespoon of dried mint

  • A little bit of water

  • Salt to taste (kosher salt)

INSTRUCTIONS

  1. In a medium bowl, mix the yogurt with water. Start with half a cup of water. Make it as thick or 'thin' as you wish

  2. Add a pinch of salt, add the cucumbers and mix again

  3. Taste and adjust seasoning as needed, adding more salt or mint as desired.

  4. Serve the cacik immediately or refrigerate until ready to serve.
